Hey gang! 🎒🔥 It’s Wednesday, and it’s time to look back at the crazy episodes we explored last week. From the chilling depths of Biblical demonology to the mysterious secrets behind UFO disclosure and encounters, last week was packed with unforgettable moments. Let’s recap what went down! 👹🛸
But first…some today in history🗣️

Crime: On November 27, 1978, a tragic event occurred at the San Francisco City Hall, where former Board of Supervisors member Dan White fatally shot Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk. Knowing that his chances to be chosen as a member for the next term were bleak, the disgruntled Dan White went to the government offices of San Francisco, California with a .38 and killed Mayor Moscone and Harvey Milk, who was one of the first openly gay politicians in U.S. Dan White subsequently invoked a "diminished capacity" defense during his trial and received a sentence of five years in prison. Following his release, he ended his own life.

War: On November 27, 1868, Black Kettle, a prominent leader of the Southern Cheyenne during the tumultuous period of the American Indian Wars, met a tragic end. He was shot and killed by soldiers of the U.S. 7th Cavalry while desperately attempting to escape the Battle of Washita River alongside his wife. The Battle of the Washita River unfolded on 27 of November when Lieutenant Colonel George Armstrong Custer led the 7th U.S. Cavalry in a surprise attack on Black Kettle's Southern Cheyenne camp, which was situated along the Washita River. This location is now recognized as the Washita Battlefield National Historic Site, near the present-day town of Cheyenne, Oklahoma. The Cheyenne camp, was home to numerous Native American tribal bands, collectively numbering in several thousands.

Religion: On November 27, 1095, after nine days of intense and deliberative sessions among clerics and church officials, Pope Urban II stood before a large assembly of people to deliver a momentous and historic address. This address marked the proclamation of the First Crusade, a significant and transformative event in medieval history. The primary goals of this crusade were multifaceted: to defend Eastern Christians who were facing increasing aggression from Muslim forces, to ensure that pilgrimages to the sacred city of Jerusalem could be undertaken with greater safety and security, and to unite the warring factions of Western Europe under a common religious cause. Pope Urban II's call to arms was intended to redirect the violent energies of the European nobility towards a holy mission, promising spiritual rewards such as the remission of sins for those who took up the cross.

Religion: On November 27, 1970, at Manila Airport, Pope Paul VI narrowly escaped an assassination attempt by Benjamín Mendoza y Amor Flores, a Bolivian painter with mental health issues. Disguised as a priest, Mendoza approached the Pope and wounded him twice with a knife, mistaken for a crucifix. Archbishop Paul Marcinkus intervened from the United States, also known as "The Gorilla" for his great height and build was the one who prevented the attacker from causing further harm. Mendoza was arrested and later pardoned by the Pope.
