  • 9/11 Hijacker's Flight Teacher Speaks for the First Time
In this episode, we hear from the flight instructor who taught one of the 9/11 hijackers, Hani Hanjour, years before the tragic event unfolded. Mac McWhorter recounts the eerie details of Hani’s time in flight school, his struggles with English proficiency, and his unsettling behavior, such as paying in cash for his lessons and seeming unprepared for the advanced flight simulator courses. Despite McWhorter and his colleagues raising concerns about Hanjour to the FAA, no action was taken. The episode dives deep into McWhorter’s experiences and how, in hindsight, those red flags make more sense now. The chilling recount reminds us how seemingly small details can have a significant impact on history.
